Credence Capital Organizes Nivesh 2019

Credence Capital, the investment fund of IIM Lucknow, hosted its Annual Investment Summit, Nivesh, on the 8th of December, 2019 with the aim of promoting the culture of value investing and management of personal finances amongst the students.

The summit was held in two parts – A keynote address by the respective speakers and a panel discussion, which were graced by the following industry experts:

1. Nithya Easwaran, MD, Multiples Private Equity - focused on tools used by Multiples for deal evaluation and case studies from their portfolio.
2. Siddhrath Rastogi, MD, Ambit Capital - spoke about behavioral biases in decision making
3. Mukul Arora, MD, SAIF Partners - shared about the risk-return characteristics of VC industry, and SAIF’s framework of deal evaluations
4. Ramesh Damani, Eminent Investor - delivered long term insights on sectors led by innovation and long lasting demand

The panel discussion was moderated by Alex Mathew, special correspondent from Bloomberg Quint. The speakers gave their opinion on “Mastering Investment in different market cycles” and how their varied industry experience has influenced them at certain stages decision making in investments. The event saw an enthusiastic participation from the students of IIM Lucknow, professors from finance department and external participants as well.

Nivesh 2019 was a wonderful opportunity for students to interact with professionals from the industry and gain knowledge beyond the textbook and was well reflected in the enthusiastic response it received from both the student body of IIM Lucknow and well as external participants.
